What is X3?

The X3 Internship opens doors to future careers and higher education. The program offers high school students paid work experiences outside the classroom, inside the workforce.

The X3 NeXt program is designed for young people who have earned their high school diploma or GED equivalent and are interested in a career in construction or healthcare.

The NeXt program supports X3 intern alumni who hope to gain work-based experience while they earn certificates and degrees from the Central New Mexico Community College or the University of New Mexico that are required to achieve their goals.

X3 Next

The X3 NeXt program is designed for young people who have earned their high school diploma or GED equivalent and are interested in a career in construction or healthcare.

The NeXt program supports X3 intern alumni who hope to gain work-based experience while they earn certificates and degrees from the Central New Mexico Community College or the University of New Mexico that are required to achieve their goals.

WORKREADY CERTIFICATE

WorkReady Certificate Image

The X3 WorkReady Certificate verifies that interns have developed and demonstrated the professional skills necessary to thrive in the workforce.


These skills may be specific to a particular field (such as nursing) but more generally refer to personal and social skills that are necessary in any workplace (for example, planning, communication, or collaboration). Interns will create a portfolio of their learning and will earn a certificate when they have demonstrated a number of skills that they self-select, according to their future goals and interests.
